Bon Accord is delighted to announce that Big Bounce @ Bon Accord 2022 has raised £45,000 for two amazing causes, Charlie House and Great Ormond Street Hospital ✨
Thank you to all the volunteers and visitors who brought the event to life!
More than 20 inflatables, including bouncy castles, bungee runs and obstacle courses, were set up along Upperkirkgate and Schoolhill as well as St Nicholas Square and the Bon Accord Roof Garden.
Aberdeen Science Centre had some free activities for kids set up on the street, while there was also a face painting stand and musical entertainment for visitors to enjoy.
In our last event in 2019, Big Bounce @ Bon Accord saw over 20,000 visitors, raising a total of £21,500 for charity. We’re over the moon with the success of this year’s event!
Craig Stevenson, Bon Accord Centre Manager, said: “It was fantastic to see Big Bounce back in the city centre.
“The event was a huge success across the four days with an incredible £45,000 raised shared between Great Ormond Street Hospital and Charlie House.”
Charlie House is Bon Accord’s charity partner. The charity supports babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, and their families, in the North East of Scotland. Initiatives to raise awareness and support the local organisation are seen throughout Bon Accord, including Curated Aberdeen, ReCharge, Car Raffle in partnership with Rotary Clubs and Santa’s Workshop.
