2023 has begun! We are excited for another year of fun initiatives at Bon Accord.
Here are some of Bon Accord’s favourite moments of 2022:
Play Zone
Bon Accord’s Play Zone had a refresh in early 2022. The area gives families free space to enjoy when shopping in the city centre. You can find the Play Zone on the upper mall near New Look. Join in the family fun on your next visit!
Bon Accord Bunny
Bon Accord Bunny was excited to return in 2022! The giant-sized bunny was part of the Easter Garden located in the atrium of Bon Accord throughout the Easter holidays. Bon Accord Bunny now thinks he is famous after all the visitors that got a photograph with him. He has mastered his posing and loved meeting you all!
Summer in the City’s Heart
Summer in the City’s Heart 2022 introduced Mini Golf and Summer Games along with the return of the Beach, Rainbow Slide and Sports Garden. Did you enjoy the summer fun at Bon Accord?
100% of the money raised from the Rainbow Slide and Mini Golf goes to local charity Charlie House.
The Mini Golf stayed as a permanent game in Bon Accord, seeing a Halloween and Christmas refresh. You can also still play giant chess on the upper mall. Remember to give the games a play when visiting in 2023!
Big Bounce @ Bon Accord
Big Bounce @ Bon Accord was the most exciting four days raising £45,000 for two amazing causes, Charlie House and Great Ormond Street Hospital. Giant inflatables took over Schoolhill, Upperkirkgate, the Roof Garden and St Nicholas Street creating a fantastic family event. Charlie Dog and Angus the Bull even attended!
Halloween @ Bon Accord
The spooktacular Halloween Garden returned to the atrium for the month of October! Children loved playing in the ball pits and getting their photos in the giant cauldron. Along with this, Aberdeen Performing Arts ran a Halloween Pumpkin Hunt around Bon Accord and a lucky family won tickets to this year’s pantomime, Peter Pan!
Christmas in the City’s Heart
It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Santa’s Workshop, the most magical experience in the city’s heart, ran throughout November and December. Tickets sold out raising thousands of pounds for Bon Accord’s partner charity Charlie House. Did you visit Santa in his workshop this year?
